Eco-Tourism in Bugoma Forest

ACBF works with institutions and local communities to develop and promote eco-tourism activities in and around Bugoma Forest. Eco-tourism creates income opportunities and helps the conservation of the reserve.

Eco-tourism benefits the local communities, who provide guides and also are beneficiaries of the cost sharing income generated by the collection of activities fees, 5$ per entry that goes for conservation projects.

Eco-tourism activities in Bugoma started in 2018. In 2021 ACBF invested in training on local guides from the community and a group of guides was created.
