For two days, ACBF, tourism stakeholders, guides, hoteliers, tour operators and local communities have peacefully raised their voices against the destruction and boundary opening of Bugoma Forest.

This demonstration was about protecting a vital ecosystem that supports wildlife, tourism and community livelihoods. Unfortunately, it reflected poorly when participants were arrested and handcuffed by Uganda Police during the protest simply for speaking up for nature.

We remain firm in our call: Bugoma Forest must be protected. Its boundaries must be clearly restored and safeguarded for future generations.
Our message remains: Bugoma Forest must be protected. Bugoma Forest for Tourism
